Dr. Pete Bessas, MD | AE Wellness Medical Director
Dr. Bessas is a board-certified family medicine physician who graduated from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) and completed a residency at the University of Washington. Since 2005, Dr. Bessas has successfully managed a private practice, focusing on the unique physiology and psychology of weight loss. Outside of medicine, he cherishes time spent with family and friends, and enjoys hobbies such as gardening, hiking, overlanding, and cooking. A passionate traveler, he loves exploring both domestic and international destinations.

Dr. Chris Rubano, MD | AE Wellness Medical Director
Dr. Rubano is a general surgeon at Vancouver Vein & Surgical Center, a position he has held since 2018. Prior to this, he worked at Bridgetown Surgical Center from 2011 to 2015. He also served at Southwest Washington Medical Center within the Southwest Medical Group/Pacific Surgical Specialists from 2007 to 2011. Outside of medicine, he enjoys time spent with the family camping, fishing, playing tennis and golfing.

Omar Gonzalez, PA-C | Peptide Specialist
Omar is a physician associate with 15 years of experience and holds degrees in Physician Assistant Studies and a Master’s in Obesity and Peptide Therapy. He is board eligible for Peptide Therapy Certification and Wellness Coaching. He served in the US Army Health Corps from 2002 to 2007, earning multiple awards, including the Distinguished Honor Graduate. When he’s not working, he enjoys reading, cooking, and wine tasting, and cherishes spending quality time with his family.
